Would you like to be part of a cozy family atmosphere, step away from the holiday hustle and reconnect with the true, sacred spirit of Christmas and the New Year, in community? These retreats are ideal for those looking to find community, heart opening, tranquility, and a profound spiritual connection during the festive season. You can join us for one or both of the following offerings:
Christmas Retreat
During the darkest time of the year we turn within, to share the joy and warmth of community. Together we prepare for the return of the light through reflection and ritual, creating sacred space within and without.
We will nourish our soul through singing, dancing, making music, baking, story telling, quiet reflection and walks in nature. Creativity is welcome with creating decorations, cookies, and countless ways of becoming ‘angels’ for each other and with Laura Newbury joining we will have the privilege of connecting directly both individually and collectively with angelic messages. We will be part of the Findhorn community for special occasions like the solstice spiral ritual, Taize singing and midnight Holy Night singing. This retreat welcomes everyone, focusing on community and inclusivity, inviting the exploration for a sacred way of life inspired by stillness, presence, and the love that Christmas truly invites.
New Year's Retreat
Immerse yourself in the great joy and healing capacity of music, art, nature and ceremony as we consciously cross the threshold to bring in the New Year in Findhorn. Our days will be unhurried, offering plenty of time for quiet reflection, joy and connection. Cultivating a sense of family we will embody the spirit of Findhorn through song, dance, poetry, art, ritual and celebration. There will be time for creative self expression, reflecting on the old year and setting intentions for 2025. We will also have the joy of being in close contact with the Angelic guides through Angel Scribe Laura Newbury. New Year's Eve will be celebrated traditionally with the community in a festive gathering in the Universal Hall, bringing in sacredness and joyful exuberance.
Facilitators
Barbara is an open hearted musician (classically trained and playing 7 instruments), as well as a music coach and a gifted song leader.She leads peace dances and harmony singing from around the world, bringing the spirit of community and joy to every gathering. Born in Vienna, she has lived in the spiritual community of Findhorn (www.findhorn.org) since 1984, and teaching courses internationally since 1987. She has a natural gift for enabeling deep healing spaces through music, where inner beauty, wisdom, joy, and love can arise.

Laura Newbury is a practising artist, educator and channel for both angels and nature beings. Following the publication of her first book, An Angels’ Guide to Working with the Power of Light in 2011, Laura began teaching workshops in the UK and beyond.
Her second book: Earth's Voices: Messages for Our Times from Nature's Guardians. was published in 2023 and records conversations between the author and Nature Guardians of the region surrounding the River Nairn in northern Scotland. The messages are universal and hopeful, addressing our relationship with the natural world and its subtle aspects, and how we can become good caretakers for our beautiful Earth.
Since 2020 Laura has created online groups such as Angel Sisters Round the Kitchen Table, where small groups of friends create their own curriculum in harmony with the Angels' communications. The main focus of Laura's work is channelling of Angel messages, which she also offers as personal Angel guidance to clients.

For the Christmas Retreat, we will handle our own cooking and share the cost of groceries. For the New Year's Retreat, lunch and dinner will be provided by a local café and/or a cook at an estimated cost of £30 per day. Please indicate your preference on the registration form.
