Exciting News: A New Recording Project is Taking Off This Summer – And You’re Invited to Join!
It's been a long time since my last CD, but with so many of my songs now echoing through our singing community, I’m feeling deeply inspired to breathe new life into them. These new recordings will make these melodies available to a wider audience, especially for our online Taizé family.
With the support of my trusted sound engineer David Hammond and talented pianist and dear friend Joachim Goerke, this dream is finally becoming a reality!
Our plan is to record 10–12 songs so they can fly out into the world. But projects like this thrive on the love and support of the community - both in spirit and in practical contributions. We’ve got exciting ways for you to get involved this summer!
Here’s how you can help bring this vision to life:
1. Join Us with Your Voice in Findhorn Village this Summer:
- Practice Weekend (June 26–29): Join us for a joyful immersion in learning and singing new songs! This weekend will be a rich community experience to gather the voices for the recording and have a good time together in our singing family.. It is offered on a donation basis and will also help raise the funds needed to bring this project to life.
- Also, save the date for the Recording Weekend (July 11–13), which will be offered free of charge as a gesture of gratitude. After the Practice Weekend, we will finalize and attune the selection of singers for the Recording Weekend to ensure the most harmonious and seamless recording experience in July.
- If you’re not interested in being part of the recording but would love to support the project and participate in the Practice Weekend to enjoy singing and community, you are warmly invited! Please let us know, and we’ll confirm as soon as possible if space is available, as the event will be hosted in a private home, so spaces are limited.
2. Support Financially From Anywhere.
- Contribute to our crowdfunding campaign and receive regular updates, a digital download of the new recording upon completion, and two of my previous CDs (digital) of your choice as a heartfelt thank-you.
